The Fish
The two photos on the right are just a couple of the 1½ tons of new fish that were stocked in Jan 2008. These carp have never been caught before and range from mid 20’s up to mid 40’s.  We fully expect one or two of these fish to be around 50lb by the time we open for the year.

'1st of the new fish to be banked'

There were two completely independent lake owners present at the stocking and both have commented that these carp were among the best they had ever seen.

These have been added to an original old stock of about 150 fish from the 1980’s. These carp are slow growing wild carp. It can take them 3 or 4 times longer to increase their weight than the carp most of us are used to catching.

These fish are solid muscle and a 20lb fish fights like a big 40. And many of our fish are now around and over 20lb. Many of them have still never been caught and, believe me they don’t like it. These are demon fish that will fight you all the way to the net.
